         Since childhood, Kyla Gramatovich has felt her artistic calling. A relentless desire to   create and to be imaginative was always present within her. What started off as a child drawing   and painting pictures, eventually turned into a life passion and a unique opportunity.

​

 

 

         A local to the Port Colborne area, Kyla has always appreciated living near the water and amongst the scenic rural atmosphere. Lake Erie has been a source of immense inspiration to Kyla and her artwork.  She feels the magical illuminating qualities of the water, echo the ebb and flow of life.  Living in Port Colborne her entire life thus far has made a lasting impression on her heart and her spirit.

          Wanting to further her knowledge and expertise in the artistic realm, Kyla continued her education by studying Graphic Art and Design for 2 years at the Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology. She went on to receive a BA of Visual Arts from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, in 2010. 

​

 

 

          Expressing feelings about nature and man through imaginative craft, Kyla was able to embellish her inner fervor. The passionate use of colour and imagery in Kyla’s work represents the mysticism, wonder, and beauty in this world that surround us all. Working in a variety of mediums, such as pastels, inks, lithographs, airbrushing, and graphite, Kyla has recently focused on painting in oils, acrylics and watercolours. The way the paint flows and how the colours come alive, entice her to explore and create. To reveal a glimpse of her inner spirit to the world, and for the world to reveal its spirit to her, is Kyla’s greatest endeavor.   ​
